“I learned more in one night than I ever thought possible.”said Peyton, during a late night in CreateAthon.
“My students need this!”
After her first CreateAthon with Riggs Partners in 2004, Peyton Rowe knew CreateAthon was a perfect place for students to learn while doing. The combination of collaboration, intense creative challenge and helping a good cause is the perfect incubator to develop future leaders in advertising and design. Through her indefatigable energy and a lot of devoted students, she piloted the program in the spring of 2007.
Since then, Virginia Commonwealth University and James Madison University have held successful 24-hour events, serving 39 nonprofits and educating over 150 students. Future plans for CreateAthon onCampus are to expand the program to as many schools as possible. The goal: to extend the reach of CreateAthon to thousands of men, women, children who in need around the country all while developing the future leaders of advertising and design.
